Description
Botanical Name: Taxus baccata
A native British conifer providing yearlong foliage. Can live in excess of 2000 years. Huge specimens can be found in churchyards across the UK due to their connection with old Pagan sites. Male trees produce small pollenating flowers in spring, while female trees produce seed baring fruit that ripen to a lovely red colour in the autumn.
These dark seeds along with the rest of the foliage is highly toxic to both humans and animals.
